Srimad Bhagavatam 1.17.22 purport.

"A devotee who is serious about making advancement thus doesn't try to blame others, but rather tolerates adverse situations as being mercifully sent by the Lord for instruction. Those who refuse to accept the reactions of their misdeeds and try to blame their suffering on others only attain more misery for their critical words and lack of tolerance."

1. Srimad-Bhagavatam 3.28.19, Nairobi, October 29, 1975 by Srila Prabhupada
"Caitanya Mahaprabhu has taught us kirtaniyah sada harih [Cc. Adi 17.31].

"Then preksaniya, "He is worth seeing." We are accustomed to see so many things. That is our bondage. Aksnoh phalam. If by the eyes you see the Deity, the Vaisnavas... The Vaisnavas, with tilaka, with kanti, with chanting beads, as soon as you see... And practically you know. As soon as they see these Hare Krishna movement people, they also chant, "Hare Krishna," giving a chance to the others. The dress is also required. You should be always equipped with tilaka, kanti, and sikha, sutra. Then, as soon as a common man sees, "Oh, here is a Hare Krishna man. Hare Krishna," he'll chant. Automatically you give a chance to chant Hare Krishna.

None of you should be afraid of natural calamities such as heavy rain or disease. Embrace them and then bid them goodbye in due course of time.
Srila Jagannatha Dasa Babaji Maharaja used to say that when painful diseases come to our body, if they are not pampered or do not get excellent food, they will leave automatically. Diseases stay longer in the body of the aristocratic and luxurious people because they get care and attention.

Karilam Sannyasi Haya Gelo Vilasi
A sannyasi once returned from a speaking engagement and declared, "I delivered a superb speech that was much appreciated, so I shouldn't take ordinary rice prasada. Cook puris for me." When Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati heard of this he became disappointed and said, karilam sannyasi haya gelo vilasi: "I made them renunciants, but they became voluptuaries" - a ditty he often repeated in his later years. He often stated that several of his sannyasis were giving lectures simply to acquire prestige.
