His Holiness Romapada Swami Maharaja arrived on Wednesday, April 8, from Seattle after a grueling 16hr non-stop journey. State College is in the middle of nowhere in Pennsylvania and Maharaja comes to Penn State once every semester to give his association to the handful, but growing number of devotees. Maharaja looked effulgent even after the long travel and gave a talk on BG 6.47 to the packed hall almost immediately after he arrived. Most of the audience did not even have a clue of what Krishna Consciousness was but, Maharaja very expertly introduced them to the Yoga ladder. Ever the benefactor of conditioned souls, Maharaja, gave the pure message of Bhakti yoga to this fresh new audience.
On 2nd April 2009, HH Romapada Swami gave a talk on "The Currency of Relationships" at the Jones Farm Conference Center Auditorium of Intel Corporation, located in Hillsboro, a suburb of Portland, Oregon. The talk was attended by about 75 Intel employees and was very well received. This was His Holiness Romapada Swami's third talk at Intel within the last 18 months.
It was a bright, sunny day and the birds were singing with sweet voices, when Maharaja arrived in Boston. Our hearts blossomed due to the spring-like presence of Maharaja. In this world, everyone is looking for genuine, unconditional love and care, but one hardly finds it in material, temporary relationships. Rather, the common and consistent outcome is frustration. Although, apparently, we also live in such a world, by the mercy of Krishna and His pure devotees, we have been gifted a kind of shelter, love and care that is completely other-worldly in nature and scope.

His Holiness Romapada Swami Maharaja spent some time in New York in April and devotees from places in the vicinity, like Pennsylvania and Boston, reached New York to take his transcendental association and render some specific services to Maharaja. Two devotees drove Maharaja from Harrisburg to NY. Although Maharaja was traveling for many hours, after a brief break and shower at the Brooklyn Temple, he looked very fresh and ready to disseminate transcendental knowledge to an audience comprising a mix of ISKCON devotees and a regular pious congregation at a Bangladeshi Hindu temple. On the altar were Deities of Sri Sri Radha Krishna, Mother Kali and Lord Shiva. Maharaja paid his respects at all the three altars.
We were very fortunate to have the association of HH Romapada Swami Maharaja from April 3rd to 7th here in Seattle. The excitement and eagerness to meet and serve Maharaja was evident amongst the devotees even before his arrival. Maharaja gave a very nice discourse on the various incarnations of Godhead and in particular the avatar of Rama and the essential principle of equanimity shown by Lord Ramachandra while acting as an ideal king.
